If you close your eyes and think of what a Ferrari V8 sounds like…you’ll hear this car.
When Ferrari unveiled the F355 in the mid-1990s, it wasn’t just an evolution—it was a return to form. As the successor to the 348, it retained that high-revving drama of its naturally aspirated V8 while refining the shape to better fit the era.
By 1998, the 355 Spider had become the poster child for an open-air Ferrari. With its six-speed “gated” manual gearbox and 375 horsepower, 3.5L V8, the fact that you had no top lead to one of the greatest ways to experience, quite possibly, the greatest exhaust note—ever.
This particular example, finished in rare Argento Nürburgring over a Nero leather interior, has had only two meticulous owners from new. The second, a tenured Air Force pilot, purchased the car four years ago from the original owner and has driven it just 3,000 miles. During his ownership, the car has been maintained without compromise, with a major belt service, clutch replacement, and a set of new tires—amongst other little bits. Long story short, everything works exactly as it should. The buttons are clean and crisp, the top functions flawlessly, and the car appears to wear its original finish, aside from its bumpers. It comes complete with its original tool kit, manuals, seat and car covers, and factory Fix-a-Flat kit. And, fitted with a Capristo exhaust, this 355 Spider absolutely sings.
