The Albert Hammond Jr Stratocaster is a collaborative effort between Fender and The Strokes' shining lead guitarist, delivering a new take on an old classic and serving as an homage to the alternative, DIY genre of Garage Rock that he and the band have become the forefront of. This signature Strat is a '72 Reissue with some special features, such as Hammond's unique pickup switching layout, in which Pos 4 activates the neck and bridge, while 1 and 3 are reversed from the classic switching layout. With his signature on the back of the large '70s-style headstock, period-correct Micro-Tilt™ adjustment, a clean Olympic White finish and other vintage stylings, this Strat is sure to delight any guitarist who feels most comfortable jamming in their garage!

The Albert Hammond Jr Stratocaster celebrates the unique sound and iconic style that continues to define generations of young guitarists starting bands in the back of their garages. When it came time for Albert Hammond Jr to lay down the guitar tracks for The Strokes’ catalog as well as his solo work, which includes the critically acclaimed album, Francis Trouble, he reached for his 1985 reissue of a ‘72 Strat®. As a unique touch we’ve replicated Hammond’s customized pickups switching: pickup switch position four activates the neck and bridge pickups in tandem, while positions one and three are reversed from the traditional layout. Hammond’s signature graces the back of the large ‘70s-style headstock, while other ‘70s-inspired features include bullet truss rod nut, 3-bolt “F”-stamped neck plate with period-correct Micro-Tilt™ adjustment and a ‘70s-era logo.
