1967 Jaguar E-Type (XKE) OTS 4.2L
Overview
In the early 1960s, soon after their three consecutive Le Mans wins, Jaguar set out to build a road going production variant of the famed D-Type race car. In March of 1961, the E-Type (XKE) was released in two styles, the Fixed Head Coupé (FHD) and the Open Two Seater (OTS). Upon it's unveiling, Enzo Ferrari called it "the most beautiful car ever made".
Finished in its original combination of Carmen Red over a luscious black leather interior, this series 1 E-Type has done only 44,291 miles since new. Having been limited to three owners, the car has been meticulously cared for and has received a mechanical and cosmetic restoration.
Due to a leg injury, the standard manual transmission was swapped by the third owner for a factory Jaguar automatic gearbox. This beautiful example of the British icon, is ready to be enjoyed and driven for many more miles. For more information, please fill out the form below.
