2004 Martin D45 Marquis Prototype Acoustic Guitar

The D-45 Marquis model was offered by Martin from 2006 through 2008. These finely made instruments were styled after a 1937 D-45 example. They're  constructed of fine Indian Rosewood, a forward shifted solid / scalloped Adirondack X bracing, solid Adirondack top and Golden Era 45 appointments. The run topped out at 91 pieces production total over the three years. 

This very special example is # 1 of 3 prototypes constructed by the Martin factory in 2004 to introduce the run. This is the very first one...Ever! This guitar has never been owned or circulated. It comes straight from the Martin factory private reserves locker! As one could surely imagine, a company like Martin would certainly put their best foot forward when introducing such an amazing, limited run of guitars. This instrument is proof of that! The selection, quality and color of the woods as well as the Golden Era style appointments used to construct this fine guitar make this instrument a must have for any guitar collector or Martin enthusiast.
