The Gibson tweed amps of the late 50s and early 60s have certainly caught on in popularity over the last couple decades. The GA-80T, introduced in 1959 and only produced until 1961, shared Gibson's movement towards broader tonal variety and the functionality of the Vari-Tone switch which was introduced in the same era.
This example was recently serviced, functions perfectly and sounds amazing! It is in overall good condition cosmetically, displaying cool -vibey looking worn original tweed. The transformer and choke date to 38th week of 1958 and the 15th week of 1959, speaker dates to 12th week of 1957 and the power cord has been updated. Comes complete with original foot switch.
