The Gibson tweed amps of the late 50s and early 60s have certainly caught on in popularity over the last couple decades. The GA-40 Les Paul may not be quite as popular as its solid body guitar counterpart, they are loved by anyone who has had the chance to play one.
This example has all its original major components with the transformers dating to the 49th week of 1960 and the 2nd week of 1961. Its 12" Jensen dates to the 44th week of 1959, is in great shape and sounds fantastic. The tweed is in overall in great condition displaying some minor scratches / wear but no tears or rips to mention.
This fantastic sounding and looking amp is a must have for any collector of vintage Gibson gear, amp collector or tone junky!
