This is a somewhat rare example of a 1965 Kay Model 720 Bass Amp. Historically, these amps have been compared to a Supro Thunderbolt and have been used for guitar and bass alike. These guys max out at about 35 watts, are powered by a pair of 6L6s, a 5U4 rectifier, two 12ax7s and a 15" Alnico speaker. They are known for their dark barreling drive at higher volumes but they certainly clean up well at lower volumes.
This example is in great condition displaying only some minor tolex tears and discoloration in places cosmetically. It is all original down to the power cord with with the transformers dating to the 12th week of 1965 and the speaker dating to the 15th week of 1965. It functions perfectly sounds great! Truly a great addition for any collection... especially at the price!
