With this guitar we've recreated a 1954 S-type guitar down to every minute detail and idiosyncrasy that makes that guitar so special. The body is crafted with select 2-Piece Light Weight Swamp Ash finished in the original 50's formula Nitrocellulose that made these guitar age so beautifully. It also sports a ultra-comfortable "Soft V" maple neck that makes those '50s Strats so amazing to play. Finally, the Walt Grace Customs 1954 S-Type contains 3 handwound to vintage spec Walt Grace Customs Alnico V '57 Model pickups that our crafted to the exact specs of '50s single coil pickup.
