"We Race What We Sell"... that is the motto of Brumos Porsche. A racing heritage that started with Volkswagen in 1954, the legend continues to this day with VP of competition Hurley Haywood at the Jacksonville, Florida dealership. In 1972 Bob Snodgrass took over as General Manager and dictated the racecars should change from the Tangerine color to the more American white with red and blue striping. The iconic "Brumos Sweep" was born. The colors first appeared late in the 1972 Can-Am series on Brumos Porsche 917-10.
