"We Race What We Sell"... that is the motto of Brumos Porsche. A racing heritage that started with Volkswagen in 1954, the legend continues to this day with VP of competition Hurley Haywood at the Jacksonville, Florida dealership. In 1972 Bob Snodgrass took over as General Manager and dictated the racecars should change from the Tangerine color to the more American white with red and blue striping. The iconic "Brumos Sweep" was born. The colors first appeared late in the 1972 Can-Am series on Brumos Porsche 917-10. In this scene, the 1100 horsepower monster sits in front of the Brumos Porsche dealership. Driver and Dealer Principal Peter Gregg has his photo taken for a press release. Standing next to the 1972 IMSA Camel GT Championship 911S, driver Hurley Haywood waits his turn to be photographed.
Prints of "Brumos 1972" are reproduced from the original painting. Only 500 signed and numbered limited edition prints (22”x28”). $25 Shipping on all prints.
