Making its initial debut in 1974, with its revolutionary wedge-shaped body, scissor doors and aggressively futuristic styling, the Lamborghini Countach became a defining symbol of automotive design, instantly.
By the mid-1980s, the Countach had arguably reached its pinnacle trim, the 5000 QV (Quattrovalvole). introduced in 1985 iteration featured a larger 5.2-liter V12 engine with four valves per cylinder, producing 455 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The 5000 QV was equipped with six Weber carburetors (later replaced with Bosch fuel injection for certain markets) and could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just over 4.5 seconds. Its final production run ended in 1988, with some late models designated as "1988.5" vehicles. These later models incorporated features shared with the subsequent 25th Anniversary Edition, including upgraded suspension components and modified body panels, such as enlarged rear cooling intakes and an updated front bumper. A total of 676 units of the 5000 QV were produced, making it a rare and highly sought-after version of the Countach.
