We are proud to offer this exquisite, 2 owner, 1959 Porsche 356 A Hardtop Cabriolet. Finished in its original specification of Light Ivory over Red Ox Blood leather trim, this beyond immaculate German icon, has had only one repaint and reupholster since new. Originally delivered at Precision Motors in Beverly Hills, CA she spent most of her life in the greater Los Angeles area until purchased by the second owner in Napa Valley, CA in 2002.
A recipient of a recent crank shaft up rebuild, this matching numbers 356 has been upgraded to 1,750cc and has had a complete brake job including new wheel cylinders, brake shoes, brake hoses and master cylinder. The car is completely free of any rust or corrosion of any type and retains its original floor, longitudinals and jack spurs. All four opening panels (doors and decklids) are original and stamped with the last 3 digits of the serial number. In addition to a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity is the original Kardex, black California license plate, five date-matched wheels with new Verdestein 165x15 tires, a complete tool kid, jack, spare wheel and tire along with a complete photo catalogue from the respray.
Sporting a Nardi wood wheel as supplied by Porsche as a factory option, the original ivory steering wheel and horn ring come along as well. Sitting on a bespoke light ivory floor-stand, is the factory removable Hardtop--a truly rare piece of trim. The mileage of 83,723 is believed to be original as per the extensive documentation and ownership history.
