We love our Plexis to death - but we recognize that others may not have the same appreciation for the walls of Class AB sound they throw in your face. That's why the new Marshall SV20CWH Combo has us giddy: it's all of what made the 1959SLPs so amazing, in a limited edition White Elephant Grain 20W combo amp - which can be dialed down to 5W without any reduction in tone quality. Driven by three ECC83s, two EL34s, and a 10" Celestion V-Type speaker, the SV20CWH Studio Vintage Combo delivers everything from saturated blues tones á la Clapton to face-melting Hendrix-esque leads, and at volumes that are a bit more manageable than your classic 100W Super Lead. 

We're still going to hold onto our vintage Plexis, though.

The power of a Plexi in a new portable style. Now the legendary sound of the 1959SLP is yours for the taking, packaged in a 20W combo that you can enjoy at home or in the studio. It’s got the same vintage tones you know and love, just redesigned for the modern player. Whether you’re looking for warm blues tones or punchy leads, the SV20CWH has all the same tonal options as the original 1959SLP. Choose between the high treble and normal channel, or find the perfect blend between the two using a patch cable. While its predecessor was built to get loud, the SV20CWH is equipped to handle those quieter environments with power reduction to 5W.

The Studio Vintage is driven by three ECC83 valves in the preamp and two EL34s in the power amp. The new combo design also boasts a 10” Celestion V-type speaker for that old-school sound.

Meticulously hand-built in our UK factory, the SV20CWH accurately recreates vintage Marshall tones. Create anything from saturated blues tones to biting leads with the two ECC83 preamp valves and two EL34 power amp valves.
