This Academy 10 is perfect for beginner guitar players, but even pros will be able to appreciate the quality that Taylor has imbued in this model. Everything about this guitar will appeal to you if you're just starting out on your guitar journey, from the slightly shorter scale length to the more accessible neck profile. We're also huge fans of the added "armrest": a beveled edge on the front of the guitar which prevents unwanted pressure on the inner arm. The Academy 10 is a phenomenal choice for a beginner on a budget.

Plus, the Academy 10 ships with one of the most premium features: an armrest, which provides a more comfortable fit for players who are just learning how to manage the larger body of an acoustic guitar. With a solid spruce top and layered sapele back and sides, the dreadnought shape of the Academy 10 produces a warm sound with a strong low end and clear, ringing high tones, smoothened out by the punchy midrange of layered sapele.
