In 1946, Leo Fender - an accomplished electrician - opened the Fender Electric Instruments Company, seeking to create products that fixed the design flaws he saw in many of the musical amplifiers of his time. Beginning with the famed “Woodie” series (1946-1948), Fender’s amplifiers have continued to set the industry standard throughout the decades, providing generation after generation of guitar players with crystal clear, dynamic tone in iconic shapes and sizes.
