2002 Rolex Sea-Dweller Stainless Steel Ref. 16600

The Rolex Sea-Dweller was developed as an answer to the greater needs of professional saturation divers, building on the Submariner platform with deeper water resistance and the addition of a helium escape valve. The Reference 16600 marks the Sea-Dweller’s transition into the modern Rolex era, with upgrades such as Super-Luminova paint and the Caliber 3135 movement. Our 2002 example presents in excellent overall condition. The dial and sapphire crystal are both spotless, with bright, even lume on the markers and hands. The bezel insert and its pearl are equally clean, with sharp numerals and strong definition. The case remains particularly well preserved, with very defined lugs and no indication of over-polishing. The Oyster bracelet shows only a few minor surface scratches and remains very clean overall. Inside is the COSC-certified Caliber 3135, a major upgrade to the brand’s first high-beat movement. It offers significantly improved durability and serviceability, and it served as the core automatic Rolex movement until 2020. All-in-all, this is a particularly clean example of the 16600 with minimal signs of wear, complete with box and papers.
