1948 Rolex Oyster Royal Ref. 4444 - Stainless Steel

This is Rolex before Rolex was a status object — a tool watch from the late 1940s, built to be worn and trusted. The dial has done something no reissue can fake by showing its decades of honestly earned patina giving it a warm, spotted tropical brown fade to the dial. Arabic numerals all the way around, "Shock Resisting" printed at the bottom, and a retailer signature — "Pacifico y Laino" — from the shop that originally sold it.
