1960 Heuer Carrera Ref. 2447T

Making it’s initial debut in 1963, the Heuer Carrera has become an absolute icon in the world of automotive inspired timepieces. Conceived by Jack Heuer and named after the grueling Carrera Panamericana road race, it was purpose-built for drivers who demanded clarity, reliability, and restraint on the wrist. The Carrera’s hallmark was its clean, no-nonsense dial layout—bold markers, sharp hands, and clear sub-dials framed within a slim, elegantly proportioned case. 

Among the earliest and most sought-after executions is the reference 2447T, a classic three-register chronograph powered by the revered Valjoux 72 movement. The “T” designates its tachymeter scale, printed crisply around the dial's perimeter—a nod to its racing roots. Housed in a 36mm stainless steel case with long angular lugs and a sharp, minimalist bezel, the 2447T represents the Carrera at its most iconic: purpose-built, visually balanced, and undeniably timeless.

This particular 1960s example remains in beautifully honest condition, retaining its original dial with crisp printing and warm patina.
