At the time of its introduction, the only guitar more expensive than The Johnny Smith model on Gibson's roster was the Super 400. As time has carried on, these guitars have been sought out by collectors and more prominently jazz guitarists throughout the world. This 1963 example, one of only 13 Natural produced in 1963, has been meticulously taken care of and shows very little wear of any kind. All components, finish and frets are all original and the guitar is free of repairs.. The selection of woods for this particular guitar is truly stellar showing lots of movement and character in the maple. A collector grade example for sure that plays and sounds amazing!
