However, the Reference Number 5513, produced from 1962 to 1989, holds a special place in the Submariner's history. This model, often referred to as the "no-date" Submariner, was the first to feature crown guards, protecting the winding crown from damage. The 5513 was also the last Submariner to use an acrylic crystal, giving it a distinctly vintage look.
