1993 Gibson Custom Shop Tom Murphy Custom Order Firebird VII Electric Guitar - Cardinal Red

Early Tom Murphy painted and aged guitars have been sought out and collected by enthusiasts world wide for literally decades now. While most tend to be flame top Les Pauls, there certainly are some are less common examples / models out there.. This amazing guitar happens to be one those. 

Per the typed letter from Tom Murphy dated May 25, 1993 that accompanies this guitar, The Gibson Dealer Custom Shop produced four Firebird VIIs with original re-plated Maestro tailpieces between 1991 and 1993 : 1 in Antique Gold, 1 in Sunburst, and 2 in Cardinal Red. This Cardinal Red example was custom ordered in 1992 and shipped in April of 1993, reflecting serial number 90513707. This guitar is also accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity dated 4/22/93 and signed by Tom Murphy. 

This guitar has been very well taken care of showing virtually no player wear or notable damage at all. As noted previously, it comes with its COA, typed letter from Tom Murphy, as well as its original brown hardshell case. Weighs in at a very comfortable 8 lbs 6 oz.
