Since its introduction in 1932, the Patek Philippe Calatrava has been the blueprint for the modern dress watch. Released in 1994, the 5000J features an off-centered small seconds subdial, mirroring the gauge layouts of Ferrari’s legendary race cars—it is rumored that this reference was the result of a collaboration between the marques that never came to be. Beneath the 35mm, 18k yellow gold case, is the Caliber 240 PS, a micro-rotor automatic movement that allows for an ultra-slim profile without sacrificing performance.
