2002 Audemars Piguet ROYAL OAK Ref. 14790ST

The Royal Oak needs little explanation. Gérald Genta’s 1972 design permanently changed the idea of what a luxury sports watch could be, and the reference 14790ST represents that concept in a particularly balanced form. Produced in 2002, it retains the original proportions of the early Royal Oak while benefiting from years of subtle refinement.

At 36mm, the case wears closer to the original Royal Oak vision than many later, upsized versions. The blue “Petite Tapisserie” dial adds texture without excess, catching light quietly rather than shouting for attention. Applied white gold markers and hands provide contrast and resist tarnishing. The stainless steel case and integrated bracelet show light surface wear from careful use, with no signs of polishing. The sapphire crystal is clean, and the bracelet remains smooth with excellent articulation.

The watch is powered by Audemars Piguet’s Caliber 2125 automatic movement and is offered complete with its original box and papers.
