2005 Gibson Eric Clapton Crossroads ES-335 Electric Guitar - Aged Cherry

Eric Clapton’s cherry red 1964 ES-335 accompanied him from The Yardbirds through Cream’s final stand at the Royal Albert Hall, through Blind Faith and decades of studio sessions — one of the most storied guitars in rock history. When Clapton auctioned the original in June 2004 to raise funds for his Crossroads Centre rehabilitation facility in Antigua, it sold for $847,500. The following year, Gibson Custom Shop partnered with Clapton and Guitar Center to produce a worldwide limited run of just 250 meticulous replicas, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Crossroads Centre.

This is one of those 250 guitars. Built to recreate every detail of the original — from the aged cherry finish and replicated playing wear to the reproduction PAF humbuckers and period-correct hardware — it comes complete with a reproduction “Cream” stenciled hardshell case and a certificate of authenticity. A collector-grade piece connecting one of music’s most important guitars to the charitable cause closest to Clapton’s heart.
