The Speedmaster Professional is one of a small group of watches that transcends its category. Introduced in 1957, and chosen by NASA for the Apollo program, the Speedmaster has been produced with remarkable consistency for nearly seven decades.
The reference 3570.40 “Japan Racing” is a limited edition of only 2004 pieces and was released exclusively for the Japanese market in 2004. It’s dark grey dial is contrasted by a vivid multicolored minute track in white, orange, and red. The visual language of motorsport is rendered in the same graphic as a racing circuit’s corner flags and the orange chronograph seconds hand grab the eye immediately.
Powered by indestructible, manual wind Caliber 1861 movement, this example presents beautifully on its original steel bracelet and is in exceptional overall condition. The black tachymeter bezel is crisp with minimal wear and the case remains sharp throughout. Offered complete with its original red Omega presentation box and papers, this is a wonderful opportunity to own a rare and unique piece of Speedmaster history.
