In the formative years following the Stratocaster's groundbreaking debut in 1954, it saw slight tweaks and modifications that helped firmly establish its legacy as the finest electric guitar ever made. This Wildwood 1955 Stratocaster has some cool, rare features that we feel represent the best of the origins of the Strat® and gives you a glimpse into the innovations that were crucial in its development. The thin-coat lacquer finish lets the guitar breathe. The neck features a vintage 10", giving it a unique feel even among vintage-inspired models. It also features narrow tall frets.
Other features found on this guitar include an ash body, tinted maple quarter sawn neck with a '54 "U"-shaped neck profile, Wildwood Hand-Wound Strat pickups with, 5-way switch, vintage wiring, American Vintage synchronized tremolo bridge, bone nut, round string tree and vintage-style tuning machines.
The Wildwood Custom 1955 Stratocaster is the legendary guitar you know and love with some rare "what could have been" flair. Includes a deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
