Rolex Datejust Ref. 1603, Circa 1972

Originally introduced in 1945, the Rolex Datejust was the first self-winding wristwatch to display the date in a window on the dial, a groundbreaking feature at the time. Its classic design, characterized by the signature cyclops lens over the date window, has made it an instantly recognizable piece. 

Over the years, the Datejust has gone through various updates and iterations. But, reference number 1603, has become one of the brand’s staple “must haves”. The 1603 model features a 36mm stainless steel case, a highly legible silver dial with subtle hour markers, and an automatic movement.
