Rolex Submariner Two Tone 18k Yellow Gold & Stainless Steel, Ref. 16613 Circa 1991

Introduced in 1953, the Rolex Submariner was designed for underwater exploration, catering to the needs of professional divers with its robust construction and water resistance. The Reference Number 16613, often referred to as the "Two-Tone" Sub, was launched in 1988 and featured a two-tone 904L stainless steel and 18k yellow gold Oyster case, a black or blue dial with luminous hour markers, and a unidirectional rotating bezel with a 60-minute scale. The 16613 was powered by the Caliber 3135 automatic movement, which offered a 48-hour power reserve. The blue dial variant, known as the "Bluesy," was particularly coveted.
