This guitar is a true find for any vintage collector, Fender enthusiast or not! Fender has offered reissues of this 1957 Stratocaster in 3-Tone Sunburst for years to celebrate the instrument that set the bar for decades after its initial release. This outstanding, all original example of a 1957 Fender Stratocaster in 3-Tone Sunburst has been meticulous kept, displaying very little player wear, fade or damage of any kind. The neck dates to March of 1957; the body to February of 1957; the pots to the 4th week of 1957, and all solder is untouched. The frets are in fantastic condition, displaying no divots; the nut is in fantastic condition and amazingly still lacquered over on the sides. Truly, an incredible instrument in all ways! Comes complete with its original tweed hardshell case, original tremolo bar, original ashtray and original sales receipt, dated December 20, 1957.
The matching 1957 Fender Vibrolux narrow panel tweed was actually purchased new on the same original receipt as the '57 Stratocaster. This example has been meticulously kept, displays very minimal cosmetic wear and is all original down to the RCA tubes, which date to the 39th week of 1957. The 10" Jensen speaker - which dates to the 38th week of 1957 - still sounds perfect at lower volumes, and also breaks up beautifully when opened up.
